Following a change of plan to the original project idea of a promotional website for the short film “NX-11″, it was decided that there wouldn’t be enough content provide to make the website a substantial project come submission, this was a decision made through myself, my tutor Clive McCarthy and the film group.

A decision was then made for me to animate a “Sizzle Reel” for the groups promotional work instead, based on a short 2-3min script including animated scenes and real world footage crossovers.

After another meeting between the film group, that I couldn’t attend, it was decided that I would be dropped from making the animated scenes for the short film, with justification being made to shoot the scenes instead, something that would suite the film group but doesn’t help my project at all. I expressed my irritation with this mid term change and contacted my tutor for advice.

After further conversations I have decided to use the groups script and logo rights, in agreement with the films producer, Pati, and make my own animated teaser trailer for the film instead. This would still be a collaboration of sorts but will now only include my own designs, and creative spin, the group I am working with has decided to focus on their own work and cut some ties with collaborative partners, something I wouldn’t view as professional.

Still on with the project, with a few weeks to go I have begun to look at storyboards, animations and drawing styles.

Another attempt at creating a AHS style theme of a decaying horror barn, added with film grain.

I wanted to take a standard image of a farm/ barn door and manipulate the image into the style and hour element of the film, I’m still working on the final content to be used, but here are a few quick mock-ups from today.

– Muse preview of the website is appearing blurry/ at a low resolution, recording for feedback, any help or advice at resolving this?
